Ashley Jajtner serves as a Consulting Director of Accounting; She started at Optima in November 2018 and is coming up on her 4-year anniversary with the company this Fall.

What Ashley loves most about working at Optima is having the ability to work with so many different clients and industries – she has been in accounting for 20 years and is still always learning something new. She also loves the work-life balance and flexibility Optima Office has been able to provide throughout various phases of her life.

Ashley has two kids (ages 7 and 9) and while family is her #1 priority, she really values being a part of our client’s success. She is proud to be part of an organization that knows one can be a valued contributor and still have a rich personal life.

If there is one thing she loves most about being an Accountant, it is working with small to mid-sized businesses because she feels financial information can be such an eye-opener and allows them to get where they want to go. Translating and presenting that data is really satisfying for Ashley. There is also something to be said for a set of closed books with proper reconciliations and schedules in place – she says it makes her feel like she has her life together. 

Ashley is a third-generation San Diego native-her grandma was born in San Diego and she really enjoys the lifestyle San Diego provides.

When she is not working, you can find Ashley and her family hiking and camping – her 7-year-old has been to 19 national parks. She also finds wine and viticulture fascinating;  Fun fact: She is currently studying for the Certified Specialist of Wine designation.
